Who's behind Resolve
Resolve was founded by Flippie Odendal, an entrepreneur who has co-founded, built (both organically and through acquisition), managed, restructured, and handed over businesses — including leadership successions and full exits — across diverse and often challenging market environments.
His journey spans more than two decades of work in East Africa and over 30 years in business in general.
Over the years, Flippie has made decisions that worked well — and others that didn’t. He learned that mindset and experience evolve through doing, reflecting, and adjusting. In later years, he turned those lessons into insights he successfully applied and now shares with others.
He developed a grounded belief that challenges — and especially periods of crisis — often hold opportunities to rethink, adjust, and grow.
He further believes that an aligned and motivated team delivers compounding rewards over time, and that time spent “under the tree” — talking through key issues to reach clarity, alignment, and shared understanding — is rarely wasted. Those conversations save time later and unlock execution efficiencies that deliver improved returns.
While Resolve is fronted by Flippie, he draws on a trusted network of entrepreneurs and professionals who can be involved when specialised input or focused support is needed to help clients get unstuck.
